About Urban Green
Urban Green Landscapes is owned and managed by Tom Kinsey. Tom started his working life as a residential landscaper working for a family-owned company on projects across the South Wales area.
Eventually, he moved on to being a commercial contractor, focusing on large housing projects and civil work. Over the years that followed, a passion for transforming homes and making the most of outdoor spaces began to develop.
Tom completed numerous projects for friends and family in his spare time. The excellent feedback received led him to decide that founding his own landscaping company was the right next step.
Understanding Client Goals
Tom’s diverse experience means he understands no two projects are the same. Every client is looking for something different, and understanding exactly what a client wants is crucial to providing the best solution.
For example, someone with limited free time might want a space that looks good with little maintenance. Alternatively, young children and/or pets might make safety and security a priority. Tom thoroughly enjoys discussing client’s goals and ideas. He is passionate about using his experience to contribute ideas and give sound advice.
On the other hand, people often carry out their own research. Some clients will have a design prepared and specific materials already chosen. Tom has completed numerous projects on this basis, resulting in many satisfied clients.
Benefits of Experience
Tom has worked on everything from Victorian terrace houses with reclaimed tiles and slabs to modern developments and city centre paving.
This experience means he’s seen how things can go wrong. Deep knowledge of materials and construction methods means it’s possible to warn of potential problems that might occur. Where this is the case, he often provides advice on suitable alternatives.
